My Review

Beverly Lewis has given us another page turning read, and heart-warming visit in Lancaster with an Amish family, and their forgiving love for one another.
Yes the main theme of this book is forgiveness, an easy thing to say, but hard to do, and yet a corner stone of faith. We also have a twin that ends up back in her home, and has to face her past, and those she feels wounded her. I found myself quickly lost in this story, and hoping what my mind was wishing would happen, and in most cases it did.
We know when we begin that it is a death that brings Mandy home, but will life and family get her to stay; she sure has to work cut out for her.
I would love to go and stay at this B & B, and see the butterflies!

My Review

The soft crinkly baby book is perfect for the little one, and made with a Velcro closure, and it is machine washable.
The book is made of a soft cloth, and in soft pastel colors, with a crinkle sound when it is held. There is also a safe mirror for your baby to look at the baby, so sweet.
I also noticed that there is a tab on the side so you can attach it to the car seat, or stroller. I also loved the colors included on the pages that draw the little ones eyes.
What a great have for the little one, and it makes a great gift, besides enforcing our love of God from the beginning of their lives.

My Review

I loved this story, and the author had me walking with the young mother, and remembering that things were very different back in the ‘40’s and the stigma of being an unwed mother.
You can see God’s hand in each event that happens here, and you will want to have the tissues handy. I did love the symbolism of the manger, and the catalyst of bring the baby into the lives of his family, but what a sacrifice and love this mother does for her child.
This is a quick reading novella, packed with struggles and love, and how everyone ends up just where they need to be on that magic Christmas in 1944.

 My Review

Four heart warming novellas that are just right for a one sitting quick read, of course, you won’t be able to stop at just one.
Four different authors and four different stories all set in Amish country, all taking place at Christmas time, and all contain a form of “love”, whether human or animal, they all make real the meaning of my favorite holiday.
Each story is set in a different part of the US, but all are connected by being set with Plain people, and feature a bit of romance, all set in the winter.
This book has a bit for everyone and four of my favorite authors, when I seen their names I know I’m in for a treat.
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
